About
Vision Statement
The Assembly of the Unbegotten keeps the ancient breath. We walk under one Leader alone, the Only-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and no other hand is set over the flock.
We seek no titles. We build no ladders of rank. We place no man between the soul and its Lord. We go back down the road, before the creeds divided the house, to the simple faith that was first handed down:
One Unbegotten Father.
One Only-Begotten Son, our sole Teacher and Leader.
And the daily remembrance that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us and among us.
The door stands open to the weary, the angry, the seeker and the wounded, to all who would know Christ directly, with no gate kept by men. Here we learn to love, and to forgive. We learn to stand in the warfare of the spirit. We ready our hearts and our households for whatever days may come.
Christ alone is Leader. All are brothers and sisters.
CORE BELIEFS
- The Unbegotten Father is the one Source of all that is.
- Jesus Christ, the Only-Begotten Son, is our one Leader, Teacher and High Priest (Matthew 23:8-12).
- We lay down every hierarchy of men, every required creed and every ritual degree.
- Scripture and the ancient breath are our guide, read by the Spirit and by the plain words of Christ.
GOVERNANCE
- We have no titles, no ordinations and no paid clergy. All are brothers and sisters.
- We decide in humble consensus, in Remembrance Circles, and we submit to Christ first.
- Any brother or sister may lead a gathering, but none shall lord it over another.
PRACTICES
- Remembrance Circles: simple gatherings for Scripture, prayer, sharing and mutual encouragement.
- Hospitality to the stranger (Hebrews 13:2).
- Daily prayer, repentance and works of mercy.
- Fatherhood, the strength of the household, and the warfare of the spirit fought in the Armor of God.
MEMBERSHIP
- Open to all who confess Christ as Lord and wish to walk in simplicity. We keep no roll and ask no dues. Offerings are freewill only.
DISSOLUTION
- If the Assembly ever grows a hierarchy, or drifts from Christ alone as Leader, any three members may call for its peaceful dissolution, so the pure flame may be carried somewhere else.
